Application procedure for EU citizens: for the study programs with courses taught in English, in order to be admitted, the candidates have to take an entrance exam consisting in multiple choice questions from biology and chemistry. There areare organized around 6 entrance exams every year between March and September. On average, there are about 2 applications per study place. That is why it is very important to prepare your application as soon as possible. We will provide learning materials for these exams. It is mandatory that the prospective EU and EEA applicants have studied, completed and obtained grades (without failing marks) in Biology and Chemistry subjects in the secondary school.

Application procedure for non-EU citizens: for the study programs with courses taught in English, the evaluation of application files containing proof of the applicants’ academic performance and personal achievements. It is mandatorythat the prospective applicants have studied, completed and obtained grades (not less than 62% of the possible maximum of the grading system in the respective country) in Biology and Chemistry subjects in the secondary school.

Applicants who choose to study in English can only benefit from tuition fee places.

English language proficiency is demonstrated by the inclusion in the application file of an internationally recognized language certificate. The University offers a preparatory course in English language for students who cannot meet this requirement. The language preparation is provided by experienced specialists – English philology graduates, and the specialized one by medical doctors and specialists in the respective disciplines. English is studied in two stages: General English (620 hrs) and Introduction to Medical Terminology (230 hrs), which provides sufficient coverage of the fundamental language requirements for the 1st year at the Medical University. The curriculum and the organization of the preparatory course have been developed over the last 4 years and have amply proved their efficiency. The students having successfully completed the preparatory course at MU – Varna enjoy an excellent academic realization and achieve exceptional results during the exam sessions.
