STUDENT ACCOMMODATION
Living in Bulgaria is an unforgettable exciting experience, for those who have the chance to experiment it. One of the most important things to arrange after you have received an acceptance letter from the university is to find an accommodation. Black Sea University team is ready to help you find the most suitable place for you! Just let us know what your requirements and expectations in term of accommodation are.
WHAT KIND OF ACCOMMODATION WOULD YOU PREFER?
There are several possibilities from which you can choose the most appropriate one.
- 1-Most universities in Varna offer on-campus hostel accommodation, which is quite cheaper than any other kind of accommodation. The monthly rent does not exceed 70 EUR including bills. You should share a room with another student, who could be your friend, or another international student for example. Usually, a hostel room consists of one common bedroom with two separate beds and one bathroom. The only disadvantage is that there is no kitchen, but there are many possibilities of eating out. As a whole, the main advantage of this option of accommodation is that it allows you to make international friends and to live door-to-door with so many students, coming from different parts of the world. Moreover, do not forget to think about the endless student parties!
- 2-Another option for you is to rent a private apartment. You can choose the distance from the university, the neighborhood, the number of rooms, etc. We are at your disposal for any negotiations with the property owner. The monthly rent is about 200-300 EUR. Please consider that you should make at least one-month deposit for the chosen apartment and you should pay a commission to the real estate agency, which equals to 50-100% of the fee for one-month rent.
- 3-Another option for accommodation, which is not very common, but still has its advantages, is to live under the roof of a host-family. A host-family can offer an amazing opportunity to learn Bulgarian language and get immersed in local culture and delicious homemade food.
Notice that all international students are obliged to sign a contract with the landlord because it is required as a proof of residence for the issuance of the Resident Permit at the local Migration office.
